Caribbean Haven Residential Centre (CHRC) is a branch of the Department of Counselling Services (DCS) which also includes The Counselling Centre (TCC) and the Family Resource Centre (FRC). CHRC was opened on November 16, 2000 by the Honorable Anthony Eden who was the Minister of Health at the time. The decision to open CHRC arose from the need for residential substance abuse treatment in Cayman for both men and women. In 2008, the Women’s Centre was built to provide a specific place to accommodate women only. We currently offer non-medical detoxification and long-term residential treatment services to men and women over the age of 18 who are legally resident in the Cayman Islands. All clients at CHRC are struggling to overcome addiction to mind-altering substances and most also have co-occurring mental health issues.
