CHRC is a branch of the Department of Counselling Services (DCS) which also includes The Counselling Centre (TCC) and the Family Resource Centre (FRC). CHRC was opened on November 16, 2000 by the Honorable Anthony Eden who was the Minister of Health at the time. The decision to open CHRC arose from the need for residential substance abuse treatment in Cayman for both men and women. In 2008, the Women’s facility was built to provide a specific center to accommodate women only. The residential program has developed with various treatment modalities and durations all in an effort to meet the needs of the clients accessing services. We currently offer detoxification and residential services to men and women over the age of 18 who are legally resident in the Cayman Islands.
