1) Is there a cost to attend or participate in programmes and services at FRC?

  • All DCS services are free for legal residents of the Cayman Islands.

  • Depending on the workshop, they can run weekly for 6 to 13 weeks.

  • Typically for our evening workshops and programmes, we do provide childcare.  No childcare is provided during Legal Befrienders or lunch sessions.

Yes, to ensure we have adequate food and childcare if they are offered during the sessions.

Typically no, as you will need to first become a client of the department to access our services, which requires an Intake.  Our Family Skills Sessions, held once per month, is open to the public, not requiring an Intake, but we still ask that you register to ensure we have adequate food and childcare if they are offered during the session.

An Intake is an appointment at FRC where you meet with the Intake Officer and complete the required paperwork to become a client. Once you are a client, you can access the services and programmes offered or recommended by the Intake Officer based on your needs.

Monday-Friday, appointments can be made for the hours between 9:00am -11:00am or you can walk in without an appointment during the hours of 12:30pm - 4:00pm, and request to see the Intake Officer.

We are open Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5pm, excluding public holidays.

To accommodate our families, we do offer evening programmes and workshops and some services between 5:30pm- 7:30pm.

We are located on 87 Mary St. in the old Walkers Building on the 2nd Floor. Building is now called Apollo House West

We have plenty of free parking beside the Walker's Building in the dirt parking lot and there are some unreserved spaces under the buliding.
